Overview
The 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV that provides great power and a quiet and refined interior. It has seating for up to nine passengers and is designed for excellent trailer-towing ability. The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is available in LS, LT, LTZ and Hybrid models, with 2WD and 4WD. Three exterior colors - Mocha Steel Metallic, Steel Green Metallic and Ice Blue Metallic were new for 2011 model year. The Trailering Package now includes integrated trailer brake controller and 20-inch chrome-clad wheels are now available on LTZ model.
Power and performance
The 2012 Chevy Tahoe is powered by only one engine, a 5.3-liter V8 rated at 320 hp and 335 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway and 16 mpg combined regardless of 2WD or 4WD. A 4WD Tahoe can tow up to 8,200 pounds, while a 2WD Tahoe has a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds.

The 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe offers many standard features such as 50/50 split-folding three-passenger third-row bench seat; leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio and cruise controls; premium cloth upholstery; 40/20/40 split-folding front-row bench seat; black, power-adjustable heated outside mirrors; 60/40 split-reclining second-row bench seat; body-color, body-side moldings; 17-inch aluminum wheels (and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels on LTZ trim); CD/MP3 player; auxiliary audio input jack; XM Radio with three trial months; and Bluetooth connectivity for select compatible phones.
