2010 Chevrolet Equinox - A refreshing crossover

2010 Chevrolet Equinox
When it comes to 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, superlatives barely do justice to its refined interior, exterior design, tech features and fuel efficiency. General Motors has done a great job to make this happen when it redesigned the new Equinox inside and out. Competing in the slightly crowded mid-size crossover segment against Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape among others, 2010 Chevy Equinox had to go that extra mile. Rick Hendrick Colonial Chevrolet, the prime dealer of Chevrolet models near Chesapeake is happy to inform you that the new Equinox has outclassed its competitors with regard to fuel economy, warranty, safety features and high build quality.

Available in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels; the new Chevrolet Equinox is powered by a 2.4L Ecotec direct injected 4-cylinder engine estimated at 182 horsepower. A 3.0L DOHC direct injected V-6 engine estimated at 255 horsepower is also available. Both the engines are mated to standard 6-speed automatic transmission.

Rated at 32 mpg on highways, the new Chevrolet Equinox is the most fuel efficient model among the crossovers. It is the aerodynamic design and low-rolling resistance tires which minimize friction that help it to gain maximum mileage. Backed by Chevy's 100,000 mile/5-year (whichever comes first) fully transferable Powertrain Limited Warranty, 2010 Chevy Equinox offers the best coverage in America. CR-V, RAV4 and Escape stop at just 60,000 miles. In addition, the coverage includes round the clock Roadside Assistance Program, Courtesy Transportation Program and Corrosion Protection cover.

The advanced safety features and futuristic gizmos in the new Equinox keep you safe and entertained. The OnStar service is standard with Equinox which provides you in-vehicle security, navigation and communication system and comes free of cost in the first year. XM Radio comes as a three-month trial offer which makes your ride lively with commercial-music and sports play-by-play.

The comprehensive and user-friendly website of Rick Hendrick Colonial Chevrolet gives the Chesapeake residents an easy access to its new vehicle inventory and you can get a quick quote on all the Chevrolet models. Use CARS for new cars

Considering trading in your vehicle? Take advantage of the CAR Allowance Rebate System (CARS), a federal program that helps the consumers buy or lease a more environmentally-friendly vehicle from dealers when they trade in a less fuel-efficient car or truck. The CARS is basically a $1 billion government program through which the consumers can get a $3,500 or $4,500 discount from the dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and buy or lease a new one. One main plus point of the program is that the consumers do not have to register anywhere or at any time for this program. Here are a few important points to keep in mind to utilize the benefits of this program.

Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date
Only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualify
Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 or less MPG (some very large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements).
Trade-in vehicles must be registered and insured continuously for the full year preceding the trade-in
The program requires the scrapping of your eligible trade-in vehicle, and that the dealers disclose to you an estimate of the scrap value of your trade-in. The scrap value, however minimal, will be in addition to the rebate, and not in place of the rebate.
Last but not the least, the CARS program runs through November 1, 2009 or when the funds are exhausted, whichever comes first

Log on to http://www.cars.gov/ to know more. It is a program aimed at strengthening the economy, improving auto sales and put safer, cleaner and more fuel-efficient vehicles on the nation's roadways. Come take advantage of this Limited Period Offer today! Enjoy!

2008 Chevrolet Malibu: Highest Ranked Midsize Car in Initial Quality Study

The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu is the highest-ranking midsize car in initial quality in the 2008 IQS conducted by J. D. Power and Associates. The Chevrolet Malibu midsize sedan was redesigned for 2008 and features fresh styling, more available power, and some more safety features. The midsize sedan segment is a highly competitive segment of the domestic auto industry, and sales of midsize cars have overtaken other segments, especially in the light of the U.S. new-vehicle market shifting back to cars, rather than pickups and SUVs.

The Malibu shares its basic design with the Pontiac G6, and is the smaller of Chevy’s two midsize sedans. The 2008 Malibu can seat five, is 6 inches longer in wheelbase and 3 inches longer overall, and available in LS, LT and LTZ trim. The Malibu Maxx hatchback makes an exit for 2008. A gas/electric Hybrid model is part of the lineup. The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu has bowled over car buyers in the highly competitive midsize segment, as well as the automotive press, which has deemed it as 2008 North American Car of the Year. EPA estimates fuel economy at 24 mpg city/32 mpg highway, mileage figures which are impressive in these days of high gasoline prices.

Based on the same platform as the Saturn Aura and Pontiac G6, the midsize 2008 Chevrolet Malibu is 6 inches longer than the 2007 model and, at 112 inches, is the longest Malibu ever and the same size as the 2008 Chevrolet Impala. The Malibu LS and LT models have a standard 169-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that teams with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Optional on the LT and standard on the LTZ is a 252-hp 3.6-liter V6 that teams with the 6-speed automatic. A Hybrid system as a powertrain choice, features an ECOTEC 2.4L 4-cylinder Hybrid engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a four-speed automatic Hybrid transmission.
